  3. And You're Done

1. Drill

Start by setting the Drill Guide for the proper wood thickness making sure that the wood has square straight 90 degree cuts.  The Kreg Jig can handle wood thicknesses from 1/2" to 1 1/2".  Raise or lower the Drill Guide so that the screw will exit the board at its strongest point.  The Drill Guide will guide the drill bit at a correct angle all the time.

The depth of the hole is controlled with the Depth Collar, which is set by using the markings on the base.  Wherever you want the Kreg joint just plunge the drill bit through to the Depth Collar for a perfect hole every time.   Kreg's Step Bit was designed to drill both the pocket hole and the screw guide hole at the same time.

2. Drivescrew2

To pull the joint tight use the Kreg Self Tapping Screws .  These screws are made of hardened industrial steel and have a square head so they won't strip.  The joints are so strong that using glue is optional.

3. Done

The Kreg Pocket Hole Jig opens a whole new world of possibilities to all skill levels.  The Kreg joints are versitile for all projects around the home.  The Kreg Pocket Hole Jig makes complicated building into simple projects  that can be done in hours instead of days.  All you need is a saw and a drill to build just about anything.
